Okay it's predawn twilight. It is chilly outside. It is clearly going to be an heavily overcast day... therefore there will be no sunrise, the sky is dense because of the brush fires going on... what a bummer. But is it really? After I have gotten up so early, having gotten all my gear together, clothes laid out for the shoot and more clothes for work the night before; what do you think I'm going to do? In cases like this you just work with what you got.After a while you forget about the elements and lighting. You get into the shoot. It then becomes you, the rock, what's around the rock and lastly what the rock has to show you.
